We envision a world where communities take the lead in creating their own future and become more resilient. Bulsho Kaab is one of the first Somali-based crowdfunding platforms for communities and initiatives across the Somali regions. Through crowdfunding initiatives, communities will be able to channel their collective efforts to realize common projects that matter to Somalis. For too long, decisions on what gets funded have been made by everyone except the communities most affected by those decisions. The platform has been built on an initiative of SomRep—Somali Resilience Program, a consortium of 7 international and 1 local non-governmental organizations working in all Somali regions and more than 100 countries throughout the world. The platform has been made possible with funding from the European Union and other donors. This crowdfunding website was created and maintained with the financial support of the European Union.
